Cannot ping active IP-address

Hello,

we have a lot of lan-attached printers (with an IPDS-converter). Every now
and then we loose contact to a printer from
the AS/400 => we cannot ping that IP-address from the AS/400 anymore. From
other machines in the network the
address is still reachable!

On the next day, eventually, the printer will be reachable again! Or, we can
change the ip-address on printer and
AS/400 devd..

Any ideas on this one?
