I am getting the following error when we increased the field size from 30 to
50 character for a 400 table that has a VB front end program. The
application has other files that I can write data to but by changing the
field size of this one table, it aborts.

As soon as I change the field size back to 30, the program does not give us
this error.

I changed the field size to 60 & then 100 but to no avail - same problem.
Is there someplace where I can go to figure out which field is causing this
error? There is no system message. Or does data Truncated means something
other than the obvious?

Talked to the VB programmer & I've looked through the Express web page & all
the faq's I could find. Why would recompiling the dds for the file with the
different field size cause a problem? I looked at the DNS for the
connection & there is nothing there that I can see?????

Thanks - Dennis.
