My understanding is what you're saying is true.  When you open a window in
CAE  if the coffee cup icon appears in the upper left corner of the window,
you are executing JAVA.  Unfortunately from that standpoint, most of the
code is still C++ and therefore is not as easy to port.  The other problem
is Windoze provides much of the graphics support which is not in the X
environment for either KDE or GNU yet.  It might be a long wait.
