I did not realize that you needed to integrate it with other apps on the
400.

To be honest, P/R is the biggest hassle of an app, especially if you deal
with multiple states/taxing authorities.  We used to outsource to Paychex
and then ADP.  Both were not very responsive to changes, and we did not get
much attention since we are a very small company.  We already had Peachtree
in house to do Billing, A/R, A/P and G/L, so we decided to use the P/R app.
We also moved to a single, monthly payroll to reduce the amount of work and
all the darn deposits and government crap.

ADP has advantages, but it certainly isn't the blessing the ADP sales staff
would suggest.

I'd agree there are some good PC packages but in the end they don't usually
tie in well with AS/400 applications.
