Steven,

What is the communications protocol involved here to attach the 5494 to
the AS/400
?

We use Perle 494E's with an Ethernet card's in them, running TCP/IP over
Frame
Relay and we have this happen from time to time at our 2 biggest sites.
What I
have them do is turn the device off and back on and if this doesn't work
(with
QAUTOCFG on) delete the device and have them reset it again and it comes
back,
although it could take several minutes... Annoying to say the least :-)
