Just to disprove this I created a table and all - this code is TESTED!

update rob/duh2
set currency = 'EUR'
where currency in('FRF', 'IEP', 'DEM')
1 rows updated in DUH2 in ROB.

>From experience Steven, you cannot do a LIST in SQL.

Do the statement something like

UPDATE <CUSTOMERFILE> SET <CURRENCY CODE> = 'EUR' WHERE
<CURRENCY CODE> = 'FRF' OR
<CURRENCY CODE> = 'IEP' OR
<CURRENCY CODE> = 'DEM' BLAH BLAH.

Hope this helps.

Darren

[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
On 1st January most national currencies in Europe will disappear to be
replaced with the Euro, and so we need to SQL our customer files...
Is it possible to do an SQL along the lines of;
UPDATE CUSTOMER FILE SET CURRENCY TO 'EUR' WHERE CURRENCY LIST 'FRF'
'IEP'
'DEM'....
you get the idea.

Thanks in advance for your help, and a special thank you to the previous
poster who drew my attention to the SQL Cookbook download. (If you want
a
copy, do a search for it on GOOGLE.COM and you'll be there in a jiffy!)
