Tom, Marty, Booth, and whomever else,

After I ipl'd the 400 last night, the manag. central server did come up. ANd
I can see it on the job log right now. However, when I do double click it in
Ops Nav, it is still coming up saying it's "unable to complete the connection
to the central system." I've viewed the server jobs and the QYpsjsvr job is
"waiting for signal" and Qypssrv is "Waiting for Dequeue". I am thinking this
is closer than it was yesterday, but I'm not postive. I know when I ended the
TCP/IP server last night, one of the 2 wouldn't end.

MaryLou:

As in another post (was it Marty?), I wouldn't change anything here although I
normally use *LOCAL for priority.

However, since you use *REMOTE, you might need to make certain that any entry
in the DNS at '205.197.193.60' for your AS/400 specifies
"ISD43750.INTERBORO.K12.PA.US" as the primary host name (but that doesn't seem
like it'd be sensible).

I don't know what the deal is with this whole mess. It's almost as if MGTC
opens the host database for sequential access and reads until it finds a match
on primary host name (not checking the alias portion of the returned structure)
rather than simply requesting address by name.

But it's guesswork. All I know for certain is that this fix has worked for me.
