  I normally don't join in the "me too" msg barrages, but this issue has
irked me for a LONG time.  The developer made a boneheaded decision and IBM
refused to own up to it, by putting it back to the it was.  The PTF should
have made the "wrong" way available, not vice versa.

  And before anyone says that it's easy to d/l and apply the PTF, I've been
to shops where trying to get a PTF applied is a major hassle, w/ the forms,
justifications, ROI, risk analysis, etc., that I just couldn't get it to
happen.
