This is true.

OV/400 will install with a RSTLICPGM if you have previously saved it with
SAVLICPGM.  You will first have to turn off Signature Checking to get it to

OV/400 shows up on the Licensed Programs list when you install it as shown
above.

Many APIs do still work (calendaring is a notable exception!). However,
there's no guarantee that the very next PTF you put on your system won't
disable them. It's not a risk worth taking for any type of mission critical
