Good morning. Personally, i often use:
insert into fileb
select trim(fieldA) , ',' , digits(fieldb), ',' and so on
and then transfer fileb via TCP/IP.
You may bind both SQL and TCP in a CLP.

Oggetto: Creating CSV files on the IFS

I want to create CSV files on the IFS.
I'm using the CPYTOIMPF command, and it does create CSV files. However, it
does not trim spaces from character fields. Downloading the same file in
Client Access' Data Transfer correctly trims character fields.
A couple of times in the past, I created a file with a single field,
manually createed the CSV entries, and did a CPYTOSTMF. I was hoping a
native OS400 command would do what I want.

Thanks,
Loyd
