Re: Installing Option 12 of V5R1 - SOLVED !

For those who are interested:

Further investigation of (lengthy) joblogs of QLPINSTALL showed
an error with QIWSADM folder. This had obviously been damaged in
the migration process from machine to machine, although I did only
restore RSTLIB *ALLUSR tape ... Hmmm.
RCLDLO *ALL solved it, afterwards the installation of option 12
(hostserver) of SS1 went through without any problems.
I now can configure DNS and run OPs Navigator from my PCs ...

Conclusion:
When migrating "only User data" from V4.x to V5.x systems,
one should always do RCLSTG and RCLDLO as a rule of thumb,
after you restored userprofiles and objects and corrected the
status of QGPL and QUSRSYS. Then run RSTAUT and  go to
install the PTF package(s), IPL again and INZSYS will finally
go through the new system.

As far as I see from other V5 systems I installed there's a 50%
chance you come through without errors, the others make trouble
as described above, worst is installing SAP R/3, but thats another story...
