Ok, here's the deal on this one....

1.      Client Requirements - must select Auto-signon box in 5250 signon.
        If Auto-signon is NOT SELECTED, then no profile is returned.
2.      Host Requirements
        Must prohibit signon unless Auto-signon is set
        Must force device name in the "parm area"
3.      Possible Problems - I couldn't validate printer selection.
        regarding "parm area" - I haven't dont this part personally.

I have a client that wants to have device names (TN5250) follow some of his=
 users.  E.g. "Joe" will work at various PC's from day to day.  When "Joe" =
signs on at PC A he should get the same device as when he signed on at PC B=
 yesterday.

I am familiar with the telnet initialization exit point, but when it execut=
es no user info has been collected.  Does any one have any ideas on how thi=
s might be accomplished?
