That would be me and I do not get overtime. Just expected as part of the
job.

And I do a system backup once a month now on a Saturday. The *hold I already
had in my interactive job the old way.

We got rid of our night operator and are now unattended at night. I get an
email on cell of problems and dial in to fix.
that is why I needed to move system backup. I had it as normal night time
backup with an operator.

I think that without 3rd-party software, you can only run one Interactive
job, from the console, while in restricted state.

I do remember setting my msgq delivery to *HOLD before starting the backup,
as break messages would sit there delaying it otherwise.

But you should get by with doing a savsys once a month, & backing up user
libraries in unrestricted, unattended state.

(If the company has a budget of zero, they should factor in the overtime
allocated to performing this attended task outside hours ...)
