Ours is a WinNT 4.0 network, my network login is different than my AS/400
login, and I have Win98SE on my laptop. Would this be why I can't see our
AS/400 listed in my Win98 Network Neighborhood? It shows up perfectly
well on our NT Workstations, and only rarely on our Win98 PCs.

The only gotcha is you can't map a drive from windows explorer to an
as/400
folder without having that folder shared via NetServer. And, that becomes
troublesome if: 1. You sign in to an NT network, 2. You have a non-NT or
W2K
Windows client on your PC, and 3. if your NT logon is not the same as your
AS/400 user profile. Nevertheless you can still access the folders via
Ops
Nav. So depending on your needs that may be sufficient.

I've never used CAE to access any V3 systems so can't say anything about
that.

You're right - you can't have two versions installed at the sametime.
The service packs should be on the client access website. I don't know
the
url or I'd post it here.

Otherwise CAE is great. I have V4R5 version installed and don't have any
problems.
