I think it is sensitive to network unreliability or congestion.
The 400 sends packets to the pc, and expects a proper response within a
given
time frame (kind of like a ping). No response? "No longer communicating ..."
message.
I have had the same effect from other pc5250 (non-ibm) products (except i
never
found them to be as reliable in staying connected as ClientAccess,
especially when printing
is involved.
btw - anyone printing via tcp should be up with ptfs in following Knowledge
