I go either way on the price for the cd and nic. But I think ibm is asking
for criticism by not bundling these essential components in the base system
and hiding their cost.

There must be a way to put a used tape drive in the system.

My post is mostly to share info and ask about alternatives than to criticize
and comment. ( this is the tech list after all )

To buy a used system and upgrade to v5r1, will that cost $10,000 for v5r1
when you include this web sphere language bundle? ( I am going to ask ibm
via email, but they are doing me a favor by taking my money so I will not
get an answer from them until at least tomorrow )

Steve
