This sounds vaguely familiar,.. I think it might be a problem with MSQuery
when encountering a field name with a special character, e.g. $, if you can
rename the field in the query, it should work.

I'm sure this must be a simple solution, and my hair is really turning gray
as I try to solve the problem so thought I would turn to you all for some
assistance.  I am running V4R5 Client Access Express, latest service pack.
Whenever I open Excel (Office 2000) and try to do an ODBC connection, I can
go through the entire query, but when I try to finish, I get an SQL error -
SQL0104.
