More than likely these are the people who are using the client access
emulator which uses telnet to access the
5250 data stream.....



Some software uses Telnet sessions to process work.  Some examples would
be bar code readers, back end processors for accessing data on host from
another box running a web site, etc.  Do you have anything that cold fit
that sort of description running on those PC's ?

I MEANT to note that those IP addresses ARE our addresses and I can
identify
each PC by the address - sorry about that !

So what would be opening a Telnet session ? These particular PC's are
located
either at sites or in areas at sites where the people barely know how to
turn
the PC on (and I do NOT mean that as mean as it probably sounds - we have
been
a VERY behind the times company technology-wise but are catching up !)...
