Hi,
As metioned earlier in the thread we have a separate DBCS system for Chinese
users. The developers certainly regretted that they did not start the whole
application based on Unicode. Of course at the time they did not know they
would serve China, etc.,  but it would have made things a lot easier. Also,
I don't think that Unicode on the 400 was of much use at the time they
wrote the applications from scratch, but today you should really consider
Unicode if you're thinking internationally. I believe there are still
restrictions though, so check.
