I think that serial number only applied to IBM Info Windows displays, and
compatibles.  On some models of the terminal you actually had to configure
the serial number in.  I think it was stored in the hardware part of the
device and may only be accessible via SST.  Basically, if you can't get
them to move to PC's you probably can't get them to move to Info Windows
either.

If I could get the serial number, it seems like that would work. But the
QDCRDEVD API doesn't seem to cough up that information.

<<PROFILES on the system!!  Seems their agreement
