Tony,

Oooh, I can answer that one! Because it's true! From what I've seen, BP's
tend to maintain a strict adherence to quotas, rather than provide their
customers a true solution to their business problems. Few BP's actually send
their employees (especially the technical ones) for training of any kind.
Most savvy people in the BP program quickly learn that IBM's fetters for
being in the program are not worth the returns that IBM provides.

A _few_ BP's with the clout to "whack IBM over the head" have succeeded under
the BP program by doing what is right. There are also other BP's that "get
it" and do their best to perform for their customers. Most others have
either left the program or folded wondering "how could we have gone wrong
with IBM behind us?". The remainder haven't figured it out yet...anyone hear
of the "Platinum Partner" program lately?
