Why would this be so difficult?  By using a fixed font and changing the
background color, you can emulate a 5250-style screen.  In my 5250-emulation
mode, I support all combinations of colors and display attributes through
the use of cascaded style sheets.  Indicators passed from the program
determine the display attributes of the field, just like a 5250 display.

It wouldn't be particularly pretty, but it would do the trick.  Drill down
capabilities would be a little more difficult, but not impossible.  In fact,
you could use a mouse click, either through an AREA MAP or through
individual <A> tags on each of the bar fields.

Yes, it would be a bit of work, but it would be far from impossible.  And
once you've done the infrastructure, it then applies to all your programs.
