Eric,

What is the error code of the "software problem recorded..." message, and what is the help text for this message?

I know you said you are on the latest cum, was this installed recently?

Has anything happened with QUSRSYS  recently?

Chuck

Subject: SLIP connection

If somebody can help me it will be great :

I have an SLIP line (Win98 PC to AS400) on a AS400/model 170/OS V4R5/last cum C1100450
few days ago the OS was in V4R3 and every was working very well.
Today when I want to start the line (STRTCPPTP) I get every time the following messages in Qsysopr (translated from French to English) :
    - Starting TCP/IP point-to-point session for profile SLIPANS.
    - TCP/IP point-to-point session for profile SLIPANS ended.
    - software problem recorded for QTOCPPSM

I tried to create a new (same) line directly in V4R5 but I got the same problem.
Here is the configuration of the line :
CRTLINASC LIND(my_line) RSRCNAME(my_rsc) ONLINE(*NO) +
