David,
David,

This would be HUGE...!

We go back to the AAG, so I hope you can take some ribbing...:-)

First, you know I think the pSeries is very important to the iSeries future,
but you also know what I think of your Unix listserv. If I didn't know
better... I'd think that post from Booth Martin, way back when, had just
now showed up in your Inbox...ROFLMAO Whew...! Where's my Depends...!

Seriously, JMHO, but someone (you or someone) needs to decide if HTML is OK
or not. We've seen the pros and cons. Also, it would help a lot to try to
organize the discussion. See my last posts on IGNITe, for my thoughts. Joe
Pluta and Rob Dixon have some good ideas on how to organize a discussion. A
lot of them would apply to this list. I would contribute to the discussion
if I had the time.

Thirdly, I'd _hate_ to see a schism develop between you and the IGNITe
folks...;-) They already have an iNation list going, I guess. ***But
you're doing a good thing here, David,*** and I'm not saying that, in the
least, because I was banned from their list. A more open-minded list was
needed!!

Fourth, I'm a little suspicious of your timing. Seems a little funny this
thing would sprout up right when Leif and I have announced we're going to be
keeping quiet... Hmmmm... (Sorry, Leif, had to take you down with me...
ROFL...! Man, I crack myself up sometimes...!)

Lastly, I will be an ACTIVE LURKER, although I won't be replying much.
Thanks again, David...! ! ! ! ! ! (I purposefully shunted this off to
Leif's trash box, with my "Chuck Lewis-style" of enthusiasm... Remember
that thread...?!!)

jJt

David, sorry to see your last post on how to sign up. I could use some
cash, so was thinking about setting up a pool (my take being 50%) on how
long it will take for me to get banned from this list...

Whew...! Dag... Gotta go, real mess on my "hands"...

(Seriously, I don't plan on trying your patience, what with my occasional
posts. Thanks again, YOU DA MAN ! ! ! !)

Folks:

Seems like the iSeries Nation discussion is eating up a lot of bandwidth
... most of it is not technical in nature.

What say, I create a new mailing list for iSeries Citizens? So we can try
and bring MIDRANGE-L back to what it was meant to be ... a technical
discussion forum?

Thanks!

david
