I was going to run some tests on this but I'm having a tiny issue with my NT 
Administrator password and I can't access the DOS apps I need. So, a question 
instead...

Yes, I think you're right about that. But I had thought that only a single NT 
VDM would be active at a time. OS/2 could run one shared VDM similar to what I 
remember in NT plus create as many private VDMs as it wanted at a time, each 
with a completely separate setup. How many concurrent VDMs can NT have?
