        Subject:        DDM equivalent using FTP

I need to read records from a remote AS/400, and mark each record as
processed.  Currently we use an RPG program on a local system to read
records through a DDM file providing a path to a logical file on a remote
system.

I can no longer use DDM because of company restrictions to move away from
SNADS.

Is there an equivalent AS/400 method to accomplish this with TCP or FTP,
giving record level access to a remote file?

PS The remote file expands hundreds of times throughout the day, and I need
to pull all new records from the remote file.

Thanks!
