  • Subject: Tape backup Question

I have 64 gig disk capacity on my 720 with 60 % used. We are still using
the old internal 8mm cartridge drive for backup. I have received approval
for a new tape backup system.

The 2 units that I have looked at are the IBM 3580 and the BCC 9191. I
would appreciate comments on both of the systems. The 3580 appears to fit
what I will need but the 9191 will give more options for different types
of backup.

I have heard that there has been reports of performance and reliability
problems with the 3580.

TIA
