jt,

I invite you and anyone else who would like to break the mold to join
the openerp400 list hosted by David Gibbs.

I did not start the WyattERP open source project a year and a half ago
to necessarily create an ERP software suite, but I used it as an excuse
to provide a common framework for open software development. If you
talk to folks that are locked into JDE or BPCS or SAP or any of the
other top dogs, their needs are very conditional on the application
suite that they are bound to.

By that I mean that a solution for JDE may or may not work with BPCS or
SAP. Not to mention your home grown apps. By using the WyattERP
project as a framework, we (iNation citizens) can create an ERP
foundation that has not the bells and whistles, but the fundamentals of
a universal, generally accepted accounting principles compliant,
information repository and data retrieval and delivery system.

BTW, I salute your under commitment in your offer. I like a person that
is self aware.

From my own personal experience in the iSeries, open source, community I
can tell you that you can expect exactly what you offer. Since you
offer nothing so long as that your expectations are along the same line
you will not be disappointed.
