That is how we did it. But make sure that you review also the values of your 
default routes.

I need to change the IP address of our AS/400 so that we can fall in line

It seems to me that I will need to create a new TCP/IP Interface (ADDTCPIFC)
allocating it the new IP address and using our existing Line Description.
Once this is done, deleting the old Interface.

Am I totally off route or is this the way to go ?

Any experience or advice in doing this would be greatly appreciated.
