Advertising = documentation?  You're reaching pretty far now.  

Examing this quote again:

I don't make people pay me before they tell others they found my book of
use.  Although, if that's the current business practice...  <bg>

My wife just got a new Honda Civic.  Thank goodness they didn't make her pay
for the brochure.  We even got the floormats for free.
