Brad,

(I moved over to the midrange-l list, and changed the subject from
Subprocedures to Books, Journals, and Magazines)

Which group puts out the Experts Journal? I have to buy these resources
myself, and since it's my money, I'm very fickle. I used to get a lot out
of the two main magazines but over the last couple years that has not been
the case. I doubt I'll renew the mag subscriptions this year but maybe
something like the Experts Journal would be good.

A great benefit that the java and Microsoft world has over us is the
plethora of books available at bookstores - where you can peruse before you
buy. I have returned books to Amazon.com before but it's an additional
hassle that I don't want to go through. Plus, since I would have read it, I
feel guilty unless the book did not live up to the marketing.

Phil

I just got done with a four part series on ILE in iSeries Experts Journal.
It explains these things much clearer than my e-RPG does.

I'm glad you found my eRPG book a good learning tool for subprocedures!
