The CallPath product is alive and well. Just not an IBM product anymore.
It has been sold to Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories
(www.genesyslab.com). They will be releasing additional versions of the
products and supporting for at least two years. If you transfer your
support contract to Genesys at the end of your current IBM support contract
you will be eligible to upgrade to like Genesys products.

Additional information from IBM can be found at www.ibm.com/software/speech
under the highlights.

We are a Voice Systems business partner and have sold CallPath for 11 years
now. I believe that this is in the best interest of the CallPath customers.
IBM was not going to dedicate the resources (money) to enhance the product
to effectively compete in the CTI market. I know that there will be changes
necessary to implement the Genesys software, but it should be worth it.
They have the complete suite: Basic CTI, Enterprise Routing, Work Force
Management, Preview and Predictive dialer, Internet contact suite, etc.

Knowing that there have been recent queries about this product on the lists,
this announcement caught my eye.

IBM AXES CALLPATH PRODUCTS
http://www.as400network.com/nwn/story.cfm?ID=10578
On August 21, IBM will withdraw from marketing various CallPath
products, including CallPath Server for AS/400. There are no
replacement products available.
