What it tells me is that the power supply from your electric company had an 
interruption & that your UPS was working Ok.  If your UPS was not working Ok 
then you would not be seeing those messages because your AS/400 would be down.

Was anyone in the building when you got the messages?
Did you have a power outage concurrently?
Do you have some independent way of telling if you had a real electric 
company interuption or if it was something internal to your building's wiring.

Do you have contractors in your building hooking up something & they might 
have cut a wrong wire?

Can you trace how the electric power gets to your AS/400?
It could be that you have a new person flipping switches on building power 
who is lacking in the department of on-the-job training.

For example, there are probably building circuit breakers on a power panel in 
which the power to most of the building is shut down at nite & restored in 
the morning & there should be a clearly understandable sign on the one for 
the computer room that it is not to be touched & who to notify in case of 
emergency, but perhaps humaan error here with new user.
