Well, I don't know if anyone else has responded, as I haven't seen anything
from the lists for several hours now, but...

Chris, is this code shareable? Do you determine the application that is
running and, if applicable, what display format is being displayed?

We have the system send a message to "inactive" message queue with a simple
program that monitors the message queue. Then a simple file of exception
that allow you to control what action to take for what user id. Programmer
and VP don't like having their jobs ended. We also send a message warning
the user of their pending action. Two warning and out they go. We use 10
minutes for the system value. The actions are endjob or dscjob. 1 - 99
warnings. Very simple to program. Originally written under 1.2 and still
running unchanged at 4.4. :-)

We would like to remove inactive users from our system. These inactive
users can cause our JDE sleeper jobs to hang. We are investigating setting
the system value QINTACTIV = 180 minutes and QINACTMSGQ = ENDJOB. Is
anyone ending user jobs with this approach? Are there any problems with
implementing QINTACTIV and QINACTMSGQ. Thank you
