I believe the iSeries comes standard with two infrared ports (front and 
rear of the case) that can be driven with the appropriate software drivers.  
You may need to configure them (assign IRQs, ports, etc.) using the 
ThinkPad configuration utility .... wait a minute!  That's the other 
iSeries ... oh bugger!

Silly me, how could I confuse iSeries and i-Series?  They are so obviously 
different!
