This might be useful to you (or maybe not):

1. CONVERTING SPOOL FILES TO ADOBE ACROBAT (PDF) -- PART 1
A great way to distribute AS/400 reports from the spool file is to
convert them into Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files. PDF files can be read on
a variety of platforms using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, and they
can be easily transmitted via e-mail or downloaded from the Internet.
A variety of free, shareware, and commercial utilities that allow you
to convert spool files to PDF documents are listed below.

Free (to AS400Network Professional Members)
The CVTSPLSTMF (Convert Spooled File to Stream File) utility was
published in the July 2000 issue of NEWS/400, with an enhanced version
published in November's issue. You can read "CVTSPLSTMF: Making Spools
Cooler Yet," by Peter Clifford, at
http://www.as400network.com/article.cfm?ID=8645
and download the code from
http://www.as400network.com/code/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowAllIssueCode&Issue
Select=Past&IssueYear=2000&IssueMonth=11 .

Freeware
You can find the Copy Spool File to PDF (CPYSPLFPDF) utility at
http://www.zappie.net/Java/Javatorium/free.htm .
