Reveal codes was cool and I did miss it when I went to Word. But I had
actually forgotten about it now until you mentioned it. But Wordperfect
messed up the first Windows version so bad. Sometimes I still crave my only
blank blue screen of WP 5.1. That software got me through grad school.

Does anyone else here really miss WordPerfect? Even if this were an issue
all you'd have to do is turn on "reveal codes" and see everything in the
document.

I think that's the lesson: When you're publishing the document, then save it
with save as so there are no changes present in the file at all. Otherwise
you're sending whoever your document along with all the notes/changes you
have made in that document.

Send it to someone who has an older version of Word. (ie 98 or 95) or a
different word processing program. try notepad or opening the file with a
utility.
