So, I'll ask again.

Is there a "Super" option 21 that does what Charly is asking?
A "Backup whole machine" option

John Carr

------------------------------------
So, does this mean that if I configure a system with two
partitions, load up a bunch
of stuff in each partition, and then do an option 21 save in each
partition, that I will be able to take those 2 option 21 saves
and recreate the whole mess on a similar set of hardware
at a recovery site? Or will I have to be doing the partition
magic and configuring the hardware before I can restore at
the recovery site? Has anyone looked at the V5R1 Backup +
Recovery manual to see what the procedure is?

Seems like the less that has to be done at the recovery site,
the better. Also seems like a partitioned system will
be harder to setup at a recovery site.
