Ken,
It's been a while since I buried myself in this, but you might have a second
look at the parm IMGCFG on the CRTOUTQ command. This is a parm that remains
hidden until you specify *INTNETADR on the RMTSYS parm. When OS400 realizes
you are defining a TCP/IP based LPR OutQ, parms about the device in question
are exposed. I believe one of the IMGCFG parms will turn on postscript
support. Second parm to look at is MFRTYPMDL to see if your specific printer
is already defined.

Subject: Postscript printing

Hello -

Has anyone been sending Postscript print to a network attached printer
through a Remote Output Queue?

The manual seems to indicate it can be easily done by creating the spool
file as a *USERACSII file and making sure
parameter TRANSFORM(*YES) and IMGCFG(*NONE) are set for the *OUTQ...

Note: *USERASCII
An ASCII data stream is placed on a spooled output queue. You are
responsible for placing the entire hexadecimal data stream in the
buffer, since the AS/400 system does not change or validate the
    values that are passed.

We aren't having any luck getting this to work though. Any insight into this
type of printing from the AS/400 would be greatly appreciated.

Kenneth
