In that case, your partner should enhance their script with some intelligence or you might send a trigger file indicating transfer completion.

I couldn't use any authority commands as i'm uploading
to a unix based server from our AS/400 system & and
the renaming files couldn't be done as they were
program generated multiple files with random file
names! Please advice !
