  • Subject: Select first/last n rows in SQL?

Is there a way I can select the first or last n (5, 10, whatever) rows from
a database using SQL? Some other databases have a LIMIT clause. A query like
SELECT DBXFIL FROM QADBXREF WHERE DBXLIB='QGPL' ORDER BY DBXFIL LIMIT 10;
would give me the first 10 files alphabetically in QGPL. (This is a
hypothetical example.) I'm primarily interested in "interactive" lookups
(not embedded SQL). Running at V4R5.

Thanks!
Loyd
