Thanks for your help.  I was putting the %eof with the record name and not
the display file name.

I use it fine here, on V4R3 and V4R5.  Make sure it is the display file name
and not the record name that you are putting on the %eof.  Otherwise, are
you on an older version that doesn't support it?
