If you are running on a TCP/IP network, you can try this?

1.  The HLL that you are using to create the PF on the AS/400 should write
the table/PF and delimit the columns/fields by commas.

2. Utilizing a PC FTP product (WS-FTP, Cute-FTP, etc...) or write a little
VB(utilizing FTP) program.  Automatically check a library
on the AS/400 every X # of minutes for the delimited file that you want to
download.

3.  When the file is found in the library, download it to your PC.

4. Using Visual Basic for Excel,  you can automate the building(most Excel
functions included) of the Excel spreadsheet utilizing the delimited file.

This will automate this job completely and allows for flexibility.

OR

Use CPYTOIMPF which allows the creation of a delimited file (you choose the
delimiter) in the IFS.
