The functionality would have to come with a caveat like, "With your current
communications configuration I estimate that it will take 3.5 days to
distribute the amount of data requested."  We run a plethora of T1's,
wireless and all sorts of s*** but there are times when sneakernet and
tapes are faster.  And you're talking about a wish to transmit 8 or 9 CD's
of information?  (Granted they may not all be full.)

You have to remember, that IBM didn't believe in running ebusiness on the
400 until V5R1.  Well, that's the first release that supports ordering
PTF's from the Internet without having a PC in the middle.

I had tried this with multiple PTF's before, and mistakenly assumed it
would
work for CUME's.

I'm sorry.

NOW, IBM, WHY DON'T YOU PROVIDE THIS FUNCTIONALITY ??
