Leif,

I hope that I don't go off on a rant, but ...

We have a small number of clients (45) and we are a small company. We
write what we can afford to write (5250) and our clients (also small
$1M->$3M/mo) use it.

Why? It's the lowest cost to produce and the lowest cost to purchase and
IT WORKS!

IMHO, IBM has gotten on the 'e' everything bandwagon and are riding the
coattails of the dot coms. IBM should take a good, hard, look around
and do a body count of the dot coms and ask themselves if they are going
to be the next chalk outline or a leader to sanity.

OK, I'm past the point of no return, rant starts right here ;-)

I love what IBM has added to the AS/400 to make it more commercially
competitive. That's their job. I think it's great that they have added
screwdriver features (server) to their classic hammer (5250). But I
DON'T WANT DO DRIVE NAILS WITH A SCREWDRIVER!

The truth is, you -can- drive screws with a hammer (RPG-CGI) ;-}
