Judging from past history it should be possible to upgrade to V5R1 directly
from V4R4. IBM normally supports 2 or three releases. I don't think it
will support a CISC-to-RISC though.

Hello all,

can anybody tell me from which date the new release V5R1 will be
available.
I also want to know if it is possible to upgrade directly from V4R4 to
V5R1.

IBM ends the support for V4R4 at 31th of may 2001 but there is an offer for
extended support up to 30th November 2001.
If it is poosible to upgrade directly from V4R4 to V5R1. we thing about
using this offer.

Any help appreciated.

A. Wälde
