How about an AS/400?

For $2400 you should be able to find a real used RISC machine complete with V4
license.  It's the closest thing there is to the look and feel of an AS/400. <g>

Egghead acutions use to have a whole section devoted to AS/400's.  It seems to
be gone now.  Even eBay doesn't have what they used to for volume.  But if you
can wait and watch the auctions, you should be able to get a complete system for
that price or less.

But be sure to get a RISC system which is at V4Rx something.  Not only will it
be more current in terms of OS features, but it needs to be at V4 in order for
the software license to be transferrable.  Or a model 150 at V3 is also
transferrable.
