  • Subject: MICR Fonts on AS/400 Screen

I am setting up new check layout forms using e-form (Create!print) software
and one of the banks we deal with requires that the account number on the
MICR line contain imbedded spaces and MICR dash symbols. The account
number, as it is to be printed, is keyed into a field with the spaces and
whatever letters correspond to the MICR symbols in the specified positions
so that it prints properly

We would prefer to list the letters and their corresponding MICR symbols, if
at all possible, on the data entry screen itself so that the user will know,
at a glance, which letters to use in setting up the account number format.

Can MICR symbols be displayed on an AS/400 display screen and, if so, how
would it be done?
