I just got off the phone with IBM.

3.0.2 to 3.5.x is a migration that needs special considerations.

I am going from 1.2 to 3.5.2, to load 3.5 it takes a whole new load, then
to get to .2 I will use a PTF.

has the latest info.

Folks,

The $64,000 question: Is WebSphere 3.5 a separate install or is it
available via PTF? Some people around here think you can take 3.0.2 to 3.5
with just a group PTF (SF99142), but I believe it's a separate program on
its own CD, and then to upgrade it to 3.5.3 you use the SF99142 PTF. IBM's
docs are vague at best in regard to WebSphere. A solid response to this
question would be appreciated - to stop the bickering. And it would be
nice
if I'm right. Thanks in advance!
