I was talking about a web interface, Leif.  I've done the same thing in RPG and 
also with resource files in OS/2.  My C applications always went out 
simultaneously in 14 different languages.

Implement it in your web browser interface and we'll talk.

Theoretically it can be done, but I doubt that I'll see it in my lifetime.

much more productive than RPG-CGI.  Heck, I'm on my third generation of Java
UI design - the next one will support XML and revitalization as part of the

Joe, this can be done in ANY language, even in Java  :-)
I've done this in COBOL. And even one step further: entering a language code
in a field on the application signon sign and have the application
automatically
shift from English to Spanish or whatever on all screens and all messages and
all help text, but for that user only. This is old hat. Nice that you have
discovered
that you can do it too.
